TENANCY BY THE ENTIRETY

Type of ownership of  property, where the husband and wife have joint ownership of the title.  This would allow both the husband and wife to have the right to the entire property, and, upon the death on one, the other would obtain full title to the property.  Also known as right of survivorship.

Tenancy by the entirety is used in many states and is analogous to the term "community property".
